Sounds like it's getting gas, but it's the gas metering that's off. Maybe a dirty MAF sensor or some sensor wire that got chewed up by a mouse? But I wouldn't jump to any conclusions until you see...

That's what I was wondering. It happened to me once doing a Subie. Turning the TC to realign the splines allowed me to push it back in. Not sure if that applies to the Porsche Tip.

AFAIK, if the immobilizer was engaged the starter wouldn't turn over. It could be a fuel or spark problem, but not your immobilizer.
