Smile I think I know what the problem is

I've discovered that the erratic behavior is related to low fuel levels. When the red light is on the fuel guage the behaviour begins. So solution is to not yet very low on fuel.

Headlights Don't work

Thanks for the info. I didn't know it was safe but the Bentley book says it would be put in a "limp home mode" so I took a chance. Nothing unusual has happened to the car since I bought it 3weeks...

About the mirror

Did you say that the outside mirrors can be removed just by pulling them out of a socket? My drivers side mirror vibrates too much so I was hoping to find out why.

Angry Problem solved

The clip or retainer that hold the left connector on the car is missing. Had to order one at rediculous price of $10. Can't drive at night till Tuesday.
