Have you tried pushing the wires further into the plug? On many plugs doing this will expose the pins which are crimped onto the end of each wire. The pins only come out by pushing the wires...

I'm currently looking at a Boxster that the current owner shows an option XSU and says it was a factory option to lower the seats by 10mm. I have been unable to find this on any of the option lists...
