Strut mounts

At what point should someone plan on replacing them?

Looking at them I imagine the fronts for sure wear out but what about the rears?

Are the intake vents on the sides different?

I noticed today while getting in the boxster that the drivers side vent protrudes a bit more than the passenger side.

I inspected them a little more closely to see the lip around the passenger...

Not sure. It's a 2000 s model. I had it in a lift today. Definitely one blown shock and the others probably aren't far behind.

Stupid to buy used struts?

I've had my boxster for over a year and only put about 4000 miles on it. The struts are worn at 116k for sure.

I don't really need an upgrade, but obviously the used ones need to be price...

Ya the "feel" is not like a constant wobble. It's more of a reaction wobble. I sort of think it's the shocks too. In my mind while I'm driving down the road I can imagine that is what is happening.

It's not lowered and there are no clunks. It's just a reverberation as a vibration is not accurate. If I get a chance I'll check it out thus weekend. I have a little work to do on the 996t first...
