If the reference voltage is low due to a "poor" battery, it will still throw codes. It takes a while for the alternator to start putting out a higher voltage due to the battery issue with the SAI...

Take the tube out of the old one and plug it in. Place the plug on the other hole. If you do not have the tube, most places sell a kit for about $10.

They were P0410 for cylinders 1-3 and P1411 for cylinders 4-6. They have NOT come back since I replaced the battery. It seems the 48R was faulty (low voltage) and the TIP requires the 94R.

Update: Replaced my Group 48R battery (faulty) with the Group 94R and the codes have NOT come back. Seems the optional battery is what should be in the pre 2005MY cars and a MUST for the Tip cars.
