Thanks for the up date, it's nice to know the outcome of a problem not just hearing about the problem, and if it's running fine don't worry to much about a slight hissing noise unless it gets worse....

After cleaning I was told you have to disconnect the battery for ECU to re calibrate from scratch, worth a try if it plays up again.

Just a thought, did you disconnect the battery before you put the new maf on ? this will allow the on board computer to learn all the settings from new, it may be working on the old maf settings....
