What is this wiring????

Tight fit

I can't get the wire from my hardtop into the socket on the body. I don't have big hands, but it's virtually impossible to reach the socket to make the connection. Is there a trick or a secret?

Does the hose just run straight down to the drain...

Does the hose just run straight down to the drain below or does it twist and turn? Can you DIY replace the hose/grommet without taking the fender well apart?
