It's on an 03 986. I'm sure the lift mechanism on the 99 is the same but the bumper and trunk lid are slightly different so I'm not sure about the fitment.

I adjusted it so it sits just above the taillights (there is about a 1mm gap)

I thought about The Wing, maybe someday.

I don't drive fast enough to notice any lift!

It was a direct bolt on using the 987 lift mechanism. I'm not sure if you need the facelift bumper or not.

Particlewave, I considered that one but I have heard the fiverglass is thin in some areas...plus I think the Cayman one is a bit larger. Cayman R would make it like a whaletail.

What are the "Plastic deflectors" you are putting back in? I paid 170 for the spoiler like you did. the lift mechanism is another 170, but i don't have a lathe to turn the old ones on like you did....

Your car is in need of side skirts...I have my Cayman spoiler on order. I also ordered the lift mechanism from the cayman, no reason this shouldn't be a direct replacement for mine.
