finally did it

Hi guys. I finally did it.
I picked up a new 997 S coupe, 6 speed, midnight blue with sand beige interior from Carlson Porsche on Tuesday...

what a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it 280 or 276 HP for 2005 S?

Is 2005 and on boxster S rated at 280 or 276 HP?
Some magazines rate them at 276. also 237 for the base one.

If it is 276 then the increase from 2003 and 2004 S is only 18 HP.

same thing happened to me.
newer boxsters need a doner battery to pop it open.
no other way around it.

how many of you guys owned miata before graduating to boxster?

It seems quite a few of the forum members owned miatas before. Myself owned 1993 and 2001 miatas before moving up to 2004 boxster S. I still love miatas for what they can do.

dentless here as well

I am dentless as well..Also today I finally replaced the front windshield. There were no cracks but many chips and pits.
So as of Today, my box is as perfect as the day I bought.

The difference between 91 and 100 is very much noticeable specially at 70mph or above in top gear..

Pulls much more easily..

I've meant there is definite difference between my usual 91 octane versus 100 octane. 93 octane is not available where I live. That is why i am going to mix 91...

I just found a place in woodside, ca, a 76 gas station that sells sunoco race fuel 100 octane. Filled up my 2004 boxster S. And definitely feel the differences in performance accoding to my butt. ...

I am wondering whether that price quote is for porsche original or aftermarket windshield glass..
From my experience, aftermarket ones tends to be better in quality than original ones... At least so...

I have previously owned two miatas
First one was 1993model, donated after 250000 miles.
Second was 2001model, traded in at 75000miles. those were great little cars.
Will see how many miles i put...

I know all windshields get chipped and pitted.
However, after driving miata for three years before the boxster, I've never noticed this much pitting in such a short time. Driving habit is same now...

After driving 2004 boxster S for three months, I have only one complaint about the quality of Boxster.
you guessed it. The windshield.. It just get chipped and pitted to easily.

I will be picking up 2004 S in 8days..
I'd like to order H&R wheel spacers in advance but i dont know the stock wheel bolt length...

CAN ANYONE HELP...
