Can be automatic
I have a 2008 with Bi-Xenon and had the dealer program it so that they come on when you turn on the car. You still 'have to' turn the switch at night to have the dash lights come on.

I know I have them- its on the window sticker. But I have never used them or the windshield wipers. It very rarely rains in Vegas

PSE on 2008
I also ordered the PSE on my 2008 from the factory and it activates independent of rpm immediately on pressing the switch. Only the great sound is dependent on the rpm.

Full set in the bag- no problem
I have no problem getting a full set (including Big Bertha driver) in a regular sized golf bag directly into the (back) trunk of my 2008. Just put the bag in by placing the end with the club heads...
