don't think so, in 2000 they went to a 4 cat arrangement so the j-pipes are probably different and you would need the porsche hangar kit.

I have seen pics of 10.5" and 11" on the rear of a 986.
The 10.5" barely hangs out beyond the fender, the 11" looks ridicuous. Sticks out way too much. Even if you like the look, it will sandblast...
