Top latch stuck. 2000 986

Latch closed with hook outside the pocket. Now nothing moves.
Latch totally stuck.. ideas appreciate.It needs to be moved to the left,but I dont want to break it

Mine has a crack underneath the coolant tank where no one could find it
Only leaked when hot...made it even harder to find and fix.

Head gasket

I had some minor coolant leakage .then the white smoke out.car took two weeks to be disgnosed.Shop says head gasket . Going ahead with repair.
Costly. Guess it will be for sale afterward.i neef...

Oh oh

Car was running hot after i bled the coolant and added some..it wss 96 degrees here.
On my way home from the gym thevtemp started moving up..oil light came on lots of white smoke....am i screwed?...
