"Spec. air mass" and "Spec. air adaption"

In the service manual, in addition to the mass air flow specification, there is "Spec. air mass" and "Spec. air adaption." The mass air flow spec is 15 kg/h and the spec. air mass figure is pretty...

Hit a bad pothole. Have alignment numbers. What's bent?

I hit a *very* bad pothole on the right side of the car which bent the front right and rear wheel. They are fixed and the car no longer shudders.

I took the car to an alignment shop and got an...

Vetman, what I did was stick a flathead screwdriver in the gap between the arm and ball joint and twist to pop it off. To get them back on, I did use a prying action with the tool provided in the...

Convertible top does not close tight enough

Hello,

On my '99 Boxster the previous owner replaced the original top with one that has a glass window, and it appears it wasn't adjusted correctly. When closed, the top seems to not meet the...

Well I believe I figured it out. I was smacking the trailing arm with my palm, seeing if I could get that to rattle, but I heard a rattle toward the bumper. Eventually I found that one of the...

Glad I'm not the only one, Radman!

I examined the sway bar bushings and links and with a pry bar I've not detected any play. How can I examine the rear struts? Which part of it would cause a clunk?

New trailing arms didn't fix rear clunk

I have a new to me '99 Boxster. 85k miles. The car is clunking in the rear at low speed over bumps. Reading old forum posts, it looked to be a classic symptom of worn trailing arms. I've now...
