Hi guys, really rookie question here, been reading and reading up on boxsters a d i have a basic model 2005 2.7L porsche boxster and believe its a 986, but on some websites it says 1996-2004 is a 986...

Yes sir...is that a pretty common color? Obviously i think black and tan or red and tan is like the coveted clors by most people.
