Driver seat Backrest stopped working

Hi all

The back rest of the driver seat stopped working recently. This is a base model 03 Box. Is there anything I could check myself before bending over for the dealer?

That's OK. The damn things are hard to find at a decent price. Don't feel like paying the $400 retail plus $180 installation.

Thanks. I recently purchased a 03 boxster and I was getting a little worried. The dealer said it was CPO, but I have not seen any paperwork on this and unless it's in writing I don't beleive...
