My '01 S makes this rattle sound too. I believe it is the cam tensioners as others have said. A few of my BMW M cars did this too. I think it sounds cool.

Yup - I checked the tire composition on the sidewall and it is polyester. I have the Contentinals. I'm assuming polyester is nylon.
