Those camber plates don't offer enough -camber. Maybe another 1degree on top of the 1degree you get from the stock plates.
The *only real way to get camber in the cars is adjustable lower control...

I've done 30-40 bearings over the last 10+yrs.. I always use heat (as the factory manual suggest) The one time I didn't use heat? I broke a 996RSR front upright.

I've seen this problem on the 986 chassis, but not on the 987! Typically it's the tank breather proximity switch. It's triggered when you stick the metal nozzle from the pump into the filler neck....
