I just wanted to say thanks for the help on this. I worked towards hot pressures of 35 in the front and 33 in the rears. The tires did well, yes the do get a bit greasy as the track warmed up a bit...

Sorry Garv, but yes I would have jumped on it. I bought my 02 S with 192k on it and no IMS for $5900. 2 years and 20k miles and it still runs like a champ.

I have had a set of these for the last 6 months....
I have had a set of these for the last 6 months. They have been great tires, handle well ( I regularly chase a group of air cooled 911's ) and seem to be pretty good in the rain.

I bought my 2002 Red S with 194k miles on it last year. No maintenance records to speak of and the CEL on. Put 3k into the cam chain adjuster and drive it like I stole it. Still going with 204k miles...

I had the exact same issue. The Ball joint plastic end piece broke and came loose. I also had a broken cable going from the motor to the right side transmission. Fairly easy to repair.

It cost me around $3k locally to have a shop replace the passenger side solenoid. There isn't much room in there to want to do it myself.
