Went to the Clair Porsche in MA, nice enough folks, I suppose they can't help regarding their high prices...

ANYWAY, I "pleasantly" found out that the key alone cost $320, then I need to get it...

A simple $5 Energizer battery available at most places that sell batteries will suffice, just "pop" open the key and replace the battery...

this does not take mroe than 5 min.

how about a Subaru, i think a nice 99 - 2000 model with high miles might run around your budget....

Plus it's great for harsh winters and has a decent fuel economy.

I have lived about 10 years in Singapore aournd River Valley Rd..., am in Boston now...I absolutely loved Singapore, but the car situation is depressing indeed..
