If it was me I would pass on a car nearing 200k. There are plenty of cars out there in the $6-7k range that have half those miles. My friend just bought a clean, well maintained 2000 Base w 95k miles...

Beautiful car...I'd keep her..just pick up a used 2.5l engine for like $2,000 off ebay. The labor shouldn't be more than $1,000-1,500.

I think as long as the car doesn't need any major work done such as clutch, or suspension right away, you should be ok. $2400 a year is about what it cost me each year on average to keep her running....

Very nice well kept Boxster. I think you may have it priced several thousand above what the car is worth. A base Boxster with 55k miles and IMS upgrade is probably worth about 9-10k in this market....
