Update

Ok; finally took the 987 to my Indy for a PWIS test. He could operate the spoiler with the pwis.
Next question is how can I test that switch ? And what would that switch cost ?
And, how is that...

Does the dealers replacement key have a "special" pil in the head specific to your car ? I suppose a generic immobilizing pill could be used since the key blade has to fit your locks.

OK- I retested the plastic key. The remote was moved about 30 deft away outside the garage. Car started right up.
There must be a pill in the head of the plastic key ?

Hmm...so doing it myself in the garage will eliminate the reset procedure. I’ve watched several YouTube videos on seatbelt removal. Any tips/cautions from anyone who has done the R/R ?

Tested the mastic key this am. It will start the car. After testing the start function, I relocked the DS door; the car alarm activated. Had to use my remote to turn it off. Is this normal ?

My '06 987 has this black plastic key. I put it into a hide-a-box under the render in case I lock my keys in the trunk; I can open the door and trunk ? Anything else worth knowing ?

The car will not be driven except to relocate 2 blocks away.

Thanks for that. The 986 system was easier to diagnose, the 987 is a little deeper.
I still did too a 75mph drive to test the automatic feature.
Right now, I lost the in-dash with feature.
