Yes. I mean I unscrewed the 5.25 speakers, and directly screwed the pioneer 6.5 speakers into the same mounting holes. No changes were made.

No, for that I just used the alpine 4" sps-410 that did require me to destroy the original speaker and hot glue as described by others. But the result was well worth it.

Found 6.5 speakers that fit door without mods

I just wanted to let you guys know I found out that the Pioneer TS-A1675R coaxial speakers will fit the OEM door bezel that houses the door speakers. I'm not sure if this is common in 6.5 speakers...

Ah I see. Ok makes sense. I just figured maybe one of mine had been switched out by the previous owner. Seems a little odd they wouldn't make them identical for symmetry.

I noticed my side air intakes are slightly different. In the drivers side it appears to stick out a bit from the car and have a bit of a lip whereas on the passenger side it sits deep to the outside...

Is there usually adhesive residue left over to get off? I put some aftermarket door sills on and a little of the trim adhesive dripped on the door sill and it was a major PITA to get off of the car...

I called a body shop and was told to look into upholstery shops. If I have to get the top replaced isn't an auto body shop the best bet? Any recommendations in Southern California?

Swapped my front speakers for some alpine 410 speakers yesterday. The stereo sounds much better now and the front speakers don't sound harsh like before , but I noticed the aftermarket speakers...
