However on investigating further it appears the cable that goes from the seat belt buckle to the main terminal on the underside of the passenger seat is not there....!!...

Coolant is an odd one, there is no evidence of problem with head gasket, or any evidence of leakage anywhere, but level drops after use but comes back up if the cap is loosened...
