Be careful with those poly bushed banana arms. A guy here in the UK had an arm fail due to those bushes. They don't offer enough articulation or are too stiff.

I use 997s uprights because I wanted the bigger caliper bolt spacing to allow fitment of 6 pot brakes.
The damper is no taller.

We also did it on my brother's Cayman R. That had a really long pedal as stock...

Remember the 987 have a mechanical pump for the vacuum. It's in the cylinder head scavenge pump.
In the UK they corrode but not sure of your weather there!
