If I was purchasing a core engine I would expect to be rebuilding it completely. That would involve splitting the case. It's the only way to know exactly what your getting when your done rebuilding...

Engines and engine parts gotta go

I want to empty my garage as I'm moving in the next few months. No reasonable offer refused. I found a set of 2000 996 camshafts I bought for a project and didn't use. I'll throw those in as well....
