Well, found out this was an internal shaft failure that blew the engine. So the final outcome is they will only pick up 1/3 of the cost. It would of been more but I was told by the service manager it...

Have had my 01 Boxster since Feb06 and I do love that car but damn, everytime I turn around theres something going on with it. So far, the airbag light stays on constantly...I know the fix for that....

Thanks for the all the advice, I did check where the spare tire is and took out the tool kit but didn't find anything. I'll take the spare tire cover off and check again.
