Thanks guys-303 is great stuff. The water repelling action is impressive. I forgot it also provides UV protection, so it will apply a thin coat every time I clean it.

I believe it's for the central locking system. If you are outside the car and lock it with your key fob and the lid is open you will get a double beep telling you something on the car is left open....

Kicking up an older thread as I just returned from my Indy mechanic for similar issue. Tested all circuits and found my factory radio to be the cause-with radio connected it was drawing 0.9-1.0 amps....
