Hey boxtaboy,

I noticed the 987 shift knob and wondered about buying one and sewing it into a 986 leather boot. Did you do that? Looks sharp.

Make sure your throttle body is firmly plugged into the socket wiring. I thought mine was, but would not rev past 1,300 rpm. Disconnected, and re plugged in.

+1. Was the bee's knees with no spring, but car computer was confused and had strange rpm fluctuations and loss of power while driving. A weaker spring is a good compromise.

I would not recommend removing the spring...

I would not recommend removing the spring completely. It will not allow the pedal to engage a plunger switch correctly, and will throw an error code in durametric after driving a couple of days....
