I disagree I've owned a 2001 boxster for 2 years without a single issue, just oil changes and brakes ... normal wear and tear for a car with 70,000 miles. I suspect part of your problems may be bad...

I like the one with the wrong rims to be honest. The warranty (if it's bumper to bumper) can be worth a lot of money and if the rims really bug you they are the easiest thing on the car to change...
