Even though Porsche says you can NOT resurface...

Even though Porsche says you can NOT resurface (turn) the rotors ... you actually can. Did mine 40,000 miles ago and no problems at all.

Time for good tires.

I am ready to put a set of really good performance tires on the 2000 "S" on 17 inch rims. Been using Kumho M&S ECSTA 4x. Good tires that really hug the corners but I want something better.

If you are willing to pay a premium, may I suggest moving ahead 1 year to upgrade from the base model to a 2000 S model. You get a lot more with an S model.

I don't like the idea of small cc 4 cylinder turbo. Long life would be difficult to obtain at an affordable price. I hope they still offer a large displacement flat six as an option.

My 2000 S has just begun to throw the code if I don't warm up the car to over 100 degrees before driving it. It has done it twice since the weather turned cold.
