Thats what our cars do on the Vipers when the cats go bad.... Over on the VCA sites the discussions are that this can happen after an over-rev. Not sure why but thats what happens with them.

Reminds me of all those posts about the 928 having poor performance, but all those were poorly maintained and needed some tlc to get the performance back. Best bet would be to take it to a porsche...

I dont understand the whole IMS function and how they got away with it in the 09 MY cars. Does anyone have a website they can forward explaining this. Thanks. Curious minds want to know.

But I only have 1050 miles on mine so far. No oil use so far, which is good on these cars apparently.
