They do - at a certain weight level, but the kit adds a key to disable and the latch hooks in the front seat which make it easier to secure the car seat as well as being able to completely disable...

Close - Austin. Yes, not looking forward to another stretch of 30 100+ days in summer. Still have my RX-8 which is silver and should handle heat far better than black boxster.

Thanks for the response. Looking at the forecast, appears there may be some snow late in the week, but weekend looks clear for getting out of Ohio (especially sunday).

Live in Austin, TX and just bought a Boxster in Ohio (Cleveland area). Am debating pros/cons of shipping vs driving. Research I've done on shipping is that it's not cheap ~$1200 and can take awhile...
