Black line down center of front windshield

Hi All,

I tried searching around but found nothing on why there is a black line running down the center of my 2001 Boxster windshield. Anyone know what the function of that line is? Thanks!

Thanks for the info. The MAF needs to be replaced so its a simple swap. The warranty does include any other ASE certified repair shops....does anyone have any reputable porsche repair shops around...

I just purchased a used 2001 Porsche boxster. There seems to be a momentary/slight grind and rattle when putting the car into reverse from drive. Is that normal?
