Some leakage on shocks is considered normal by many manufacturers when it comes to basic warranty claims on their cars.

Both of mine have big leaks and air in them that makes hissing noise as I go...

Hey everyone.

I tried searching existing threads on this topic, but did not find anything.

My 2002 2.7 has 112K on it and both rear shocks are leaking oil. I bought this car used with 70K on it...

Thanks to this thread - I will have to start digging in my V8 Touareg to measure the throttle body there. Thing looks identical. and those are dime a dozen on ebay. Will post once measured.

I would start with removing oil cooler and taking...

I would start with removing oil cooler and taking it to a radiator shop to have it pressure-tested. They will be able to instantly tell you if it has a leak or not.

I wouldnt worry about packing it with any more...

I wouldnt worry about packing it with any more grase. Just clean the damaged surface and use some black RTV silicone or such to patch it. Worked like a charm on my audi A6.

Mine leaked for almost a year before I finally replaced the seals. Every time I pull up to a stop after a "spirited drive" smoke would be coming from under the car. Never any fire. Repalcing those...

Remove the taillight, remove the bumper and use a heat gun to pop out the dent. If you are very lucky- there may not even be spider cracks left in the clear coat and very litle creases afterwards....

Agreed, those vents have to go. I like the middle spoiler on the first car, the one that looks like a duck tale.
Would be great if somebody made a FG trunk lid that incorporated a functioning one...

I accidentally ran into a picture of this boxster.
looks crazy at first with 3 wings and 3 exhasut outlets, but it grew on me specially after I saw its front bumper.

Tell him not to keep his hopes up. Cars being listed for sale at 20k doesn't mean they will be sold for that much (or sold at all). Many local dealers are scared of buying luxury/sports cars right...

Audi guys connect a $1.30 diode to the secondary cats and it seems to get rid of the CEL. It drops the O2 voltage down to .45 and fools the computer into thinking the cats work (exist). I will try it...

I red-line my 2.7 several times a day and no problems so far.
Letting the rpm drop below 3k is dissapointing since the power just isnt there if you need it.
i have been getting 19-20 mpg lately...
