I can confirm that the factory voltage regulator in my 2000 Boxster S, 6-speed manual is Bosch part number F 00M 145 225 . As mentioned previously, Porsche does not sell the voltage regulator...

Today, I met Rick at a Best Buy parking lot to get my airbag light reset on my 2000 S. I posted a request for a reset and he offered to do it with his Durametric for very low cost. What a great guy....
