+1 on ignition switch replacement

I had similar symptoms with my head lights and dash lights - replacing the ignition switch resolved those issues, along with some other gremlins in the stereo related to it turning on and off...

Novus Polishes

The spare tire should be in the fornt trunk of a '99. *edit - With the newer 987 models there is no spare tire in the front trunk, just a kit to temp. repair a flat.

There should be a tool kit...
