Mine original one on my 98 was replaced at about 80 k ,I tried cleaning the old one with maf cleaner that was a waste of $7 ,so I ordered a new one, with the new one in the car ran much nicer more...

Yes they say the s2 was the best 944 ever,this is a huge 4 cyl 3.0 the biggest 4 cyl in the world at the time,my 87 944 I had back in 1995 does not even compare to this one , most people say it is...
