Hi Guys,

I have a 2001 Boxster and for the last 2 weeks I noticed that the ignition lock was not accepting the key very smoothly.

So in fact it's moving. Can you get the clip separately? And oh, what I learned for the price of $40: Don't touch the corner reflector while pulling the unit... It WILL break :-(

Hi everyone!

The low beam of me 2001 left headlight stopped working. Changed the bulb, checked the fuse. Still not working. Does anyone know this problem?

Clutch stuck

I had exactly the same problem on my 2001 Boxster. 8 weeks later the clutch would not move from the compressed position at all anymore. Had to have it towed to the dealership. $700 repair.

OK. Finally, it wasn't one of the cylinders but the spring. So sad the towing to this stealership was for free and towing to a real mechanic would have almost cost me the difference anyway.

You're right. The master cylinder is gone. The stealership told me, the pedal mechanic needs to be upgraded as well. $200 parts - $800 labor. Roughly :-(.

Same here. The CD player in my Z4 was busy all the time. Since I got the seal grey 986er a month ago the engine does the music. I always loved the sound of this car!

Maybe that's a dumb question, but what keeps the the valet parking guy from pressing the release button for the trunks from inside the car? Are they blocked with no key/the valet key inserted?

In LA you're sometimes lucky if they at least turn on the fog lights. Often enough they wouldn't even do that!

But I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble finding a switch for the rear fog...

I40 is definitely the better choice. Get off I40 in Topock and take the Rout 66. You may see a shotout at noon time. Grand Canyon is a 'must'. But take the time to see the slot canyons in Antlope...

I'm looking for an adapter to run my Garmin in a '01 Boxster (small USB connector). The one I used in my Z4 simply pops out by itself. I know the boxster lighter is European format...
