could be coming from the hole in the gas cap...
could be coming from the hole in the gas cap compartment. try taping over the hole and see if the sound goes away.

Your 18 years of experience (or is it 18 years old) Porsche Master Mechanic is wrong. The O2 sensors are on the header cats (1st set) like bmwm750 stated. No way for a CEL to come on.

no you cant use body paint on your calipers. You can get some high temp caliper paint (Folia Tec, G2, Dupli-Color) at your local checkers. It wont match perfectly, but for touch ups its good.
