Your 18 years of experience (or is it 18 years old) Porsche Master Mechanic is wrong. The O2 sensors are on the header cats (1st set) like bmwm750 stated. No way for a CEL to come on.

Actually I think its pretty cool that someone did that. Much better than most replicas I've seen (the miata/ferrari ones are the worst). It looks well planned out.

no you cant use body paint on your calipers. You can get some high temp caliper paint (Folia Tec, G2, Dupli-Color) at your local checkers. It wont match perfectly, but for touch ups its good.
