Has anyone taken the plenum off, cleaned etc? having this off does it make it easier to get to the air oil separator?

986 coolant flush broken impeller
my impeller broke, now there are shards in the system...what is the best way to flush it out? hose up the thermostat hose, do i have to pinch off the front radiator hoses first, then do them after...

Water pump plastic broken
finally able to get the water pump off, one screw took two days...when i finally got the water pump out, the plastic impellers were broken off, and the crankshaft looked like where the impellers hit...
