Replaced the passenger side window regulator, on my 99, was easier than I thought and works great!

I just bought a 99 a few weeks ago, it has 78k miles on it now, IMS never serviced as far as I know. Is this something I should be concerned about? Were the bearings different in the 96-99 models?

Driving my 99 Boxster today heard a pop sound (seemed like it came from passenger rear wheel) then made a grinding noise on each rotation of the tire a bit later it popped again and the noise...
