Every year in mid-September the Colorado Grand rally is held. Cars must be mid 60s or older and must be authentic. The 75 cars must also be in good enough condition to go the 1,000 miles. The rally traditionally starts and ends in Vail. At the end they hold a car show a Concours Non-Delegance (the cars are not washed or cleaned).
in 2011, the rally will Sept. 12-17th. The cars will start to leave before noon. It's fun to hear them start up and drive off.
These cars must be excellent examples of their make and model. the competion to run in the rally is high indeed.
This Porsche 550 Spyder was from the 2008 rally.
You can see all the cars in 2010 on the Colorado Grand website.
