Door Storage Lid failure

I opened the inside, drivers door storage compartment this afternoon and the spring-mechanism made a "pop" sound. The compartment lid's spring appears to have come undone from the hinge; thus, the lid will not stay open on its own.

How on earth do I repair this, or do I have to replace the lid? If replacement is required, how do I do it.
