Lowering springs W/ stock "S" suspension.
Anyone have info on the best lowering springs to use with the stock S suspension? I have 18" wheels and would like to avoid any clearence issues.

I have the Eibach pro springs with about 1.25" drop. I'm happy with them, the ride is good not too stiff. No rubbing issues with 18x10 on the rear and 18x8 up front. Here is a pic to show you the drop

naah.. I have 2 sets of porsche crest center caps, one set collored and another silver and black. I like the look of the Champion caps best because of the polished edges like the wheel.

1.25 is perfect. if you step back 10 feet, you will notice that there
really is clearence. up close it does look low. i have the same 1.25 inch drop and have no issues. when i step back 10 feet, you can actually see that the car could be droped another 1.25inches. n i have 19z on the car. |

Going with the H&R spring kit. 1" is really the right amount of drop IMHO, and I think it's a better product...

RoW M030 is 25 mm (about an inch) in front and 15 mm (a little more than half an inch) at the rear.
The more you drop it, the more negative your camber. |

I just installed a set of H&R's today for a customer, and it came out great. The one thing people don't tell you about lowering springs, is that they will reduce your overall shock/strut life. How much, well that is hard to say, everyone drives differently, etc. Around town they do just fine. I would not really recommend them for track use, as I have actually seen a few springs break in two on a couple of different applications (not a boxster). Those cars were tracked pretty hard. If you plan on doing that, then you are much better off to install a set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers.
