Sex Linked Variable Drip Rate in RMS Syndrome.
Serious question here.
My wife drives the Box as a daily driver. I made a 18 inch square of cardboard to catch the RMS drip (See the thread on this). She can drive the car 2 weeks and not a single drop. Not A DROP. Then I drive it (in a rather sporting fashion) and there's several 4 cm spots. Then, she drives it again and, NO drip. then I drive it..... you know the rest. Its really consistant. How come I make it wet it's pants and she doesn't? |
Gender...urologist...wetting pants...too many jokes....dammit.
*sigh* Sorry, no idea. -David |
Uro, I think your wife is dating a Certified Porsche Mechanic on the side.

Added weight maybe ??

Well, its either driving style, seat position, or weight. Have you let a transgendered person drive it? Would it leak on one side only, half as much, or would something explode?
|
This one's easy to figure out. You drive it like you stole it and she drives it nice and easy because if anything happens to it you'll be really angry.
The increased oil pressure when you push it to 5k or higher vs. what you're wife does (probably shifting at 4k because that feels normal) is the culprit. Idea: go out with your wife and let her drive, then drive just like her and voila! problem solved. Well, kinda. Sometimes my pretzel logic is well past the point of no return. |
