Looking for part in the IMS

Hi,

I want to replace my IMS bearing and looking for the right snap ring used for the BD20-17 A DDUA17NX01 bearing. Could anyone help me out with it?

Thanks,
Ben

They don't yet have Internet in Hungary? For ****************s sake, I searched for that bearing and the results popped up with 1,873,972 results in .0037865 seconds.

****************ing scammers.

Thank you for your reply it is truly informative and helpful. Could you elaborate on the scam regarding asking for help? It could be useful when someone asks me for it.

I have the bearing but I don't know which is the correct snap ring used in the IMS for the double row bearings. I already have a single row alternative but my car is model year 2000 so it can be any of the two. I would like to have all the parts ready before opening it up.

Thank you once again for your time and input. I hope all the members are at least this helpful and welcoming to newcomers.

The factory dual row bearings did not have a snap ring to retain them, they had a sacrificial wire imbedded into the side of the outer race that retained them in the shaft. Qualtiy replacement bearings like the LN used a Spiralock to retain the retrofit bearing rather than a snap ring:

Thanks,

I think I have the right part, I was searching for a ring because the guy at the local bearing store said that usually a "wire" goes there to reduce vibrations.
It was included in the Pelican Parts IMS Bearing Retrofit Kit. I thought it was a retainer not the slip ring.

If you are even contemplating using the pelican retrofit on a dual row engine, I have one word of advice: DON"T. You would be replacing the known most durable IMS bearing with the one that has suffered the most failures.........
