Airbag light came on

Hi guys, did anybody have the air bag light go on and know what the problem is or how to make it turn off.
Any info on this problem would be appreciated. Thanks :( :(

it is probably one of your seatbelt receptacles. It's common for the filament inside them to go out and set off an airbag light.

Replacing them isn't expensive if you do it yourself. Disconnect battery, wait five minutes. Remove four bolts on the seat, unlatch the wiring harness, and remove and replace the receptacle.

Happens all the time on Boxsters and 996's. Crappy manufacturing.

I believe you will need the fault light turned off by a) yourself; need Porsche code reader/setter http://www.durametric.com/buy.php OR b) Pay your dealer a couple hundred clams. I have not witnessed a light to go off by itself (yet).

Can't resist...

Back your car away from what you just hit and have a tow truck take the car to the dealer for repairs. ;)
