Recycling a clutch release bearing

Given the low price of clutch release bearings why not just buy a new one? Well, I was in a hurry and didn’t want to wait and I was curious to see if the bearing could be inspected and re-greased.
Disassembly is easy, pry up on the four clips that hold the bearing together and it comes apart.

Four parts, the bearing cartridge, a thin seal, a lipped washer and the mount. With the seal removed the bearing can be inspected, cleaned and repacked with grease.

Reassembly is easy, the trick is to assemble the parts, place them in a vice to hold them in place then pry the ring with the clips to engage them.

This bearing will be installed temporarily, I am installing an engine to test it. Another engine that I am preparing will be installed next year, so it's no big problem if the experiment fails.
