Can You R&R The Top Front Tensioner,Without
 

I'am wondering if you can change the tensioner by the A/C condenser without locking the engine in TDC,..Thank's Frank

What year is the car? Five chain or 3 chain? You probably could just lock bank 2 which is easier than bank 1 with the engine in the car, access is from the rear to install the locking tool. This is my totally inexperienced opinion based on what I saw while removing the cams to change the tensioner pads.
