You need to remove the top part (that top edge which is painted body color) of the OEM spoiler. The new spoiler is then held to the movable portion of the OEM spoiler frame via several long rows of double sided tape.

This is a Very Secure attachment method - I now genuinely wonder if I could even remove the new spoiler if I ever had to do so.
